Turrell Burgess
Turrell Burgess is an autistic adult living in Raleigh, North Carolina, but originally grew up in Orange, New Jersey. He earned his degree in communications from Fayetteville State University in 2017. He is a children’s book author and autism self-advocate with a thrill of being an advocacy voice within the autism community. His best-selling children’s book, What’s with the New Kid? My Autism, My Story, has already reached many individuals around the country and many parents who have children with autism can relate. A possible second book is on the horizon!
Turrell currently is employed as a program assistant and diversity advisor for the International Council on Development and Learning.
